DIY Pine Cone Door Hanger

Another month, another decoration for your door!  First, though, let me just say how excited I am to get to do a bunch of Christmas crafts and recipes!  I could do Christmas all year round.  Seriously.  To kick it off, I've got a festive little door hanging that couldn't be easier...

This month, I'm using up old ribbon from Williams Sonoma gift wrap (we had SO much from wedding gifts!!) and some pine cones to make a festive bit of door decor.

You will need:
  • Pine cones
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
First, make sure your pine cones are narrow enough to fit between your door and any storm door you have.  Otherwise they'll get crunched!

Next, heat up your glue gun while you cut ribbon of various lengths.

Finally, glue the ribbon to the pine cone tops.  Simple as that!

Tie the ribbons in a knot and hang from a 3-M hanger.  These would also be cute with some frosty glitter on the edges or hung on an interior door.

Happy December!!
