DIY Painted Pine Cones

Long ago, I made some painted pine cones for autumnal decor.  Well, I decided it was time to make some for Christmas!

To make your own, you will need:
  • Pine cones
  • Spray paint (gold and silver, with a mirror metallic finish)
  • Glue
  • Glitter
Simply lay your pine cones out on a protected work space and spray away with paint!  Make you to hit the pine cone from all angles, and beware of the little guys- they'll slide around from the spray.

To add glitter, just dab on glue on the edges of the pine cones.  Roll in your glitter and let dry.  I like the clear glitter because it looks kind of snowy, but silver or gold would be beautiful too!

Display yours in a centerpiece, or do like I did and place them in a clear glass hurricane vase.

Fun, festive, and sparkly :)
