September Book Club

Can you believe it's already September?!?!  I can't wrap my mind around it!

Last month, I read The Almond Tree.  It was okay.  It was a very sad story and I cried a lot, but the writing was just alright.  There were a lot of parts that seemed forced or contrived...

This month, I'm changing things up a bit.  Since I've started a new program at school (I'll be licensed to teach English!), I've decided to go with something a little lighter in feeling: The Queen's Lover, by Francine Du Plessix Gray.  It is a historical novel about a love affair between Marie Antoinette and Count Axel von Fresen.  I'm hoping for a little bit of escape from my educational theory readings :)

What are you reading this month?
