DIY Monogram Wreath

Another wreath for another month :)  If you want to see my other wreaths, check them out here, here, and here!

To make your own, you will need:
  • Wooden letter (you can find these at most craft stores)
  • Twine
  • Craft paint
  • 2 pieces of felt that complement the color of paint you chose
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Ribbon for hanging
Paint your letter.  If you have an unfinished letter, it will probably soak up a lot of paint and need two coats.

While your paint is drying, make some felt flowers.  Cut the felt into squares (some large, some smaller) and round off their edges.

Then, cut a spiral around to the center of the square.

Finally, wrap the felt around itself, from the inside out.  At the end, add a strip of glue to secure the flower.

Repeat the process until you have four flowers- two of each color.

While the glue on the flowers dries, wrap twine around one side of your letter, tying the knots in the back.

Finally, glue your flowers onto the letter.

Use some ribbon to hang it on your door (you can glue it to the back, or tie it around your letter).

I hope you all had a great week!  Have a terrific weekend!!
